BATH – Volunteers of American Northern New England will host the Grantsmanship Center’s grantsmanship training program Monday through Friday, Oct. 2 to 6, at the Patten Free Library.
The center is the leading source of grantsmanship training and grant information. Since 1972 they have trained more than 100,000 agency staff. Anyone who is responsible for management, fundraising or grant-related responsibilities is encouraged to attend.
The training program will combine personalized instruction with practical, hands-on exercises. The goal is to provide novice and experienced staff with skills that win grants and expand an organization’s ability to build successful and lasting partnerships.
During the five-day training participants will learn how to develop and critique grant proposals, identify funding sources from the public and private sectors that support programs, reach local companies to support an organization with money, goods or services, connect with decision-makers who dispense millions of dollars in state and federal grants every year and plan programs that will win support.
Graduates will receive a one-year center membership. Benefits include proposal review of a current grant application, access to TGCI’s exclusive funding databases and online forums and discounts on future workshops.
Enrollment is limited to 30 participants. Half-tuition scholarships are available for agencies with annual budgets of less than $300,000.
To register by phone or apply for a scholarship, contact the TGCI registrar now at: 1-800-421-9512. To enroll online go to http://www.tgci.com.
