This is to thank state Sen. Peter Mills for his informative explanation of the new tax reform bill (Sun Journal guest column, July 12). I hope everyone read it.

If the Republicans had had the good sense to nominate him for the Republican ticket back in 2006, he probably would have gotten elected and maybe the state wouldn’t be in quite such a mess.
