Grange meeting

POLAND — Members and friends of Excelsior Grange 5 are reminded that rather than a regular meeting at the hall, they will
gather at 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 1, At Roy’s, Route 4, Auburn, to play a
round of miniature golf. Then, they may order food from the counter. If
showers are possible, Grange master Sue Verrill will contact members
regarding a postponement.

Widows fellowship

LISBON FALLS — The Lisbon Area Widows Fellowship will meet on Monday,
Aug. 3, at the Lisbon United Methodist Church on School Street. The
gathering begins for fellowship at 11:30 a.m. followed by a pot luck
lunch.

All interested widows in the area are invited to attend.

Senior outing

AUBURN — The Sabattus Seniors
will hold their annual outing on Thursday, Aug, 6, at Lost Valley. The
event will begin at 10 a.m. with cards and games, followed by a meal at

Association meeting

WINTHROP — The annual meeting of the Annabessacook Lake Improvement Association
will be held on Saturday, Aug. 15, at the Augusta West Campground. There will be door prizes, a pancake breakfast at 8:30 a.m. followed by a
business meeting at 9:15 a.m.

Bridge play

LEWISTON — The Lewiston-Auburn
Bridge Club winners of the annual ACBL membership
game at the Multi-Purpose Center on July 28 were as follows: first,
Mary Leahey and Rosemarie Goodwin; second/third tie, Jeanine Kivus and
Fred Letourneau with
Luke Merry and Mike Quinn; fourth, Nancy Lindgren and David Lock; first
in B, Connie and Ron Reynolds, second/third tie, Larry Fortier and Paul
Sherman with Nancy Farmer and Linda Leotsakos.

at Schooner Estates on July 29 were: first, Sherrie Hinckley and
