ANDOVER — Andover’s 14th annual photo contest was held during Olde Home Day Aug. 1 in the town hall with 247 photos exhibited.

Maine towns contributing were Andover, Bethel, Dixfield, Hanover, Mexico, Peru, Roxbury, Rumford, Sumner, Turner and Woodstock. Other submissions came from California, Georgia, Indiana, New Hampshire, New Jersey and Washington. More than 190 ribbons were awarded.

Major winners were: best of show, Debra Olivieri, Redondo Beach, Calif.; animal grand prize, Debra Olivieri, Redondo Beach; landscape grand prize, Brad Best, Andover; portrait grand prize, Tracy Whotton, Sumner.

Also, black and white grand prize, Lauren Chagaris, Dumont, N.J.; age 11 to 16 grand prize, Brooke Young, Mexico, 12; age 10 and under grand prize, John Walker, Bethel, 10.
