HANOVER — A Fall Foliage River Run on the Androscoggin River will take place on Saturday, Oct. 10, for canoe and kayak enthusiasts.

The scenic 9 1/2-mile river run will start at the Hanover boat launch and end at the Rumford boat launch on Route 2 in Rumford. There will be a chicken barbecue, sponsor booths and other events at the Rumford launch, and juice, snacks and a water safety presentation at the Hanover launch.

Registration will be held at 9 a.m. with launch time at 10. Cost is $15 a person if registered before Oct. 1 and $20 after. Kids under 12 will be free. Register online at www.rivervalleychamber.com.
