TURNER (AP) – Police are investigating the death of a woman in Turner.
State Police spokesman Steve McCausland says Androscoggin County sheriff’s deputies were called to her house at about 3:30 a.m. Saturday, where 38-year-old Jane Tetreault was found dead at her East Hebron Road home.
Police are calling the death suspicious.
McCausland says a man identified as 45-year-old Brian Nichols is in custody and is being questioned. McCausland said Tetreault died of a gunshot wound, and that Nichols and Tetreault were husband and wife.
He says a 17-year-old was home at the time of the shooting and was not injured.
