PORTLAND, Maine (AP) — A price-tracking website says average retail gasoline prices in Maine have fallen 4.5 cents per gallon in the past week.

The website, MaineGasPrices.com, said Tuesday that prices in Maine were averaging $2.78 per gallon a day earlier. That’s on track with the national average that’s fallen 4.4 cents per gallon in the last week.

On the flip side, prices in Maine on Monday were 23.5 cents per gallon higher than the same day one year ago.
