OLD ORCHARD BEACH, Maine (AP) — Police in Maine say they are expecting hundreds of people to attend a funeral for a leader of the Outlaws motorcycle club who was killed during a shootout with federal agents.

The funeral for Thomas Mayne is planned for Saturday at Hope Memorial Chapel in Old Orchard Beach. The Portland Press Herald says a separate memorial service is planned for the Outlaws clubhouse in Dayton.

York County Sheriff Maurice Ouelette says he expected 250 to 300 members of the Outlaws to ride in for the service in Dayton.

Ouelette says he doesn’t expect any problems.

The 59-year-old Mayne was killed June 15 after agents with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives tried to arrest him in his home.
