Students from USM’s Lewiston-Auburn College recently participated in a tree planting event on campus. The project was part of the Environmental Health class, which explores issues in environmental health from both environmental and human health issues. The project coincided with many Earth Day events held on campus during April. A total of 15 sugar maples were planted on the grounds that surround a parking lot on campus. Members of the class are pictured along with staff members planting trees. From left are Professor Blake Whitaker, Danielle Moody, Facilities Manager Randy Estes and Regina Nash.
