Book sale
LISBON FALLS — The annual Moxie Day book sale will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 9, and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, July 10, at the MTM Rec Center on School Street. Along with the usual hardcover and paperback books, there will be a number of hardcover children’s picture books available.
Anyone with books to donate may bring them to the library on Main Street. Donations of gently used books, videos, puzzles and games will be accepted, but no text books. Volunteers willing to give an hour or two of their time either at the Moxie Festival or just prior to it for moving, sorting and set-up, will be appreciated. Call the library at 353-6564.
Soccer program
MINOT — The Minot Hebron Athletic Association is now accepting registrations through the end of July for the fall 2010 soccer program. Participants are urged to register early.

SeniorsPlus Board of Directors Officers and New Member
New board officers
LEWISTON – SeniorsPlus has announced its board officers for 2010-11.
They include: incoming president, Patricia Vampatella, vice president of academic affairs at Quincy College in Massachusetts; incoming vice president, Leslie Hawkins, administrator for the Franklin Health Practices in Farmington; incoming secretary, Margaret Ross of Lewiston; and continuing treasurer, Flo Leduc-Merry of New Gloucester.
SeniorsPlus has also elected new board member Michael Burke, CEO of Community Concepts.
