Students from the Lewiston Regional Technical Center joined with other Maine high school students for a trip to Fenway Park. The students are leaders of their school’s Action Teams which are sponsored by Volunteers of America and the Major League Baseball Players Trust. During the day they toured Fenway Park, watched batting practice from the field, met Boston Red Sox captain Jason Varitek and saw the Red Sox defeat the Arizona Diamondbacks. The program is designed to engage high school students to volunteer and serve others in their communities. The trip was made possible thanks to a donation by the Timothy J. Mynahan Foundation and the Major League Baseball Players Trust.
