KINGFIELD — David Herring, executive director for Maine Huts & Trails, announces that Conrad Klefos has been hired as the director of marketing and communications. He will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive marketing and communications plan that will result in significant increases in revenue across all categories for Maine Huts & Trails.

Klefos spent 20 years at Jay Peak in Vermont, culminating in the role of vice president of marketing. During his tenure there, annual skier visits increased from 67,000 to 215,000. Most recently, he served as the director of marketing and sales for Saddleback Resort in Rangeley, where he helped increase skier visits by17 percent and annual revenue by 37 percent in a one-year period.

Klefos and his wife live in Rangeley, where he is also on the board of directors of the Rangeley Lakes Chamber of Commerce and is the chairman of the marketing committee.
