STRONG — The Porter Lake Association will hold its 41st annual bean-hole bean supper from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 7, at Strong Beach on Porter Lake. It will be in the Forster Building in case of rain.

Ticket prices are $6 for adults and $3 for children 5 to 11 (under 5, free). Those attending are asked to bring a salad or dessert to share. The menu will include bean-hole baked beans, franks, rolls and beverages, and a variety of donated salads and desserts.

The dinner proceeds support activities beneficial to the lake, its users and the lake environment.

Poontoon boat rides will be available for a small donation to support libraries.

Strong Beach can be reached from Route 234 (connecting New Vineyard and Strong), turning onto Pond Road and then right again onto Beanies Beach Road.
