HEBRON — The 25th annual Warren family reunion was held on July 18 at Hebron Pines RV and Golf Course. The gathering included the families of the late F. Milton and Verlie Warren.

Two hundred and nineteen people attended from Buckfield, Hebron, Monmouth, Turner, Leeds, Greene, Auburn, Lisbon Falls, Jay, Gorham, South Berwick, South Portland, Limerick, Gardiner, Sumner, Hollis, Hallowell, Livermore, South Paris, Topsham, Augusta, Lewiston, Waterboro, Lubec, Minot, Sabattus, Derry, N.H., Deering, N.H.,Brockton, Mass., West Bridgewater, Mass. , Theodore, Ala. and France.

Traveling the farthest distance were Nathan, Robin, Noah and Aaron Smith from France and Karen, Gavin, Colin and Braden Ramsey of Theodore, Ala.; youngest, Josiah Paul born on June 18 to Daryl and Candi Madore; eldest, Walter Warren.

There were four weddings, 13 births, seven high school graduates and one college graduate reported during the year. Presentations were made to Kathy Additon, Jacky Meggison and Terri Warren for their faithful service to the reunion for the past 25 years. Warren family scholarships were awarded to six high school graduates for $100 each. Several family members enjoyed a game of golf before the reunion.

The new officers are: Anna Morneau, president; Joe Warren, vice president; Cami Warren, secretary; Mary Grant, treasurer. Historians will be Kathy Addition and Jacky Meggison. After a brief business meeting, a program was enjoyed led by Marie Allen. Esther Robinson presented a history on great-aunt Lizzie Warren and displayed a quilt top made by her over 100 years ago.

Helen Hadley gave a reading,”The Touch of the Master’s Hand” and Marie Allen read “A Lone Birch Tree,” written by cousin Pat Starbird. Dan Mathieu played a medley of hymns on the bag pipes. Joel Warren and Marie Allen sang, “It is Well With my Soul.” Joel Warren also gave a testimony and then sang “It’s Gonna be a Good Day.”

Total membership is 387. Errol Addition auctioned off items to cover expenses. The top items in the auction were the Warren reunion quilt made by Geraldine Jewell, which sold for $230 and a braided rug made by Esther Robinson, which sold for $270. Next year’s reunion will be held at Hebron Pines RV and Golf Course on July 17.
