Arrests/Summonses:
On July 27 – 10:48 a.m., Theresa Leighton, 37, of Rumford was charged by Ptl. Donald Miller with violating conditions of release on Spruce Street. Leighton is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on Sept. 7.
On July 30 – 4:51 p.m., Sarah McLean, 27, of Peru was arrested by Ptl. Donald Miller with operating after suspension on Franklin Street. McLean posted $300 unsecured bail and is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on Oct. 5.
On July 31 – 2:40 a.m., Brandon Turbide, 18, of Rumford was charged by Sgt. Tracey Higley with illegal possession of alcohol by a minor on Franklin Street. Turbide is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on Sept. 7.
On July 31 – 11:30 p.m., three Rumford juveniles, whom had previously been warned, along with Tina Thomas, 39, of Rumford and Billie Joe Lawton, 38, of Rumford, were charged with violating Rumford’s curfew ordinance. The Rumford Police Department is enforcing the curfew ordinance after the recent rash of criminal mischief. On Aug. 1 – 1:25 a.m., Alexander MacKerron, 22, of Rumford was charged by Sgt. Tracey Higley with operating under the influence, operating after suspension and illegal possession of a hypodermic apparatus on Hosmer Lane. MacKerron was unable to post bail, was transported to the Oxford County Jail and is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on Oct. 5.
On July 30 – 4:44 p.m., Cpl. Maifeld investigated an incident where two juveniles age 9 and 11 attempted to flood the Eagle’s Nest Snack Shack at Hosmer Field. The juveniles were located before any damage was done. The juveniles will perform community service for their actions.
Theft:
On July 29 – 5:22 p.m., Ptl. Theriault investigating the theft of mail from a residence on Penobscot Street.
Wanted
Richard Osborne, 42, of Dixfield is wanted on a Rumford District Court warrant for failure to appear for operating under the influence and operating after suspension.
