Public meal
WILTON — The Wilton Lodge 156, Maine Lodge 20, Jepthah Council 17, Franklin Chapter 34 and Pilgrim Commandery 19 will host a public meal from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 21, in the Harland Harnden Masonic Lodge Building, 70 Bryant Road, East Wilton.
A roast beef dinner with potato salad, vegetables and strawberry shortcake will be served. The cost will be $8 for adults and $5 for children under 12. All proceeds will benefit the Building Fund. For more information, contact Robert Lawrence at 778-2354.
Society meeting
NEW VINEYARD — Members of the New Vineyard Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 18, at the historical society room.
After a short business meeting, Virginia Trippi will talk about a gift of several hundred feet of shoreline at Porter Lake and part of the island given to the Porter Lake Association by Margorie White. She will also speak of the need to restore Mr. White’s grave site, located on the Strong side of the lake.
Refreshments will be served. Everyone is welcome.
Community breakfast
RANGELEY — The next ladies/community breakfast, with everyone invited to attend, will be from 7 to 9 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 18, at Saddleback Ski Lodge, Saddleback Mountain.

Games night
WILTON — The Wilton Free Public Library will host its fourth Games Night from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 20. There will be games appropriate to adults and teens, including chess, checkers, card games, Scrabble, backgammon, Risk, Trivial Pursuit, Cranium, Monopoly and more.
