Cookout
DIXFIELD — The Poodunck Snowmobile Club will host a cookout at 5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 19, at the W.R.V. Sportsmen’s Clubhouse on the Canton Point Road. The cookout is free to all past members and families. The club will supply everything for a hot dog and hamburger cookout, including soft drinks, potato salad, coleslaw, chips and dessert. All are welcome to come early to socialize and join the club.

Networking
RUMFORD — The River Valley Healthy Communities Coalition will host a Community Networking Meeting at noon Wednesday, Sept. 15, at the Mountain Valley High School, Room 101. Those attending should sign in at the office. A light lunch will be provided.
Barb Radmore of Partnerships for Success/GEAR UP and Matt Gilbert, principal of Mountain Valley High School, will introduce some of the events taking place at the school, such as Diversity Day, senior seminars and financial literacy events. Interested people will be able to tour the high school to see some of the new offerings such as the ropes course, recording studio and fitness room.

Extension homemakers
PERU — The Peru Extension Homemakers will meet at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 14, at the Peru Baptist Church. Members will work on a quilt and are asked to bring a pair of scissors. The calendar will be reviewed and plans will be made for the upcoming year.
Those attending should bring something to share for a potluck lunch. New members are welcome.
Class lunch
DIXFIELD — Members of the Class of 1952 from Stephens High School of Rumford will meet at 11:30 a.m. Monday, Sept. 13, at The Front Porch Cafe. All class members and guests are welcome.
Local class members are planning to attend the 58th class reunion at the Kawanhee Inn on Oct. 6. The deadline for reservations is Sept. 29.
