Between Friday, Sept. 3, at 7 a.m. and Friday, Sept. 10 at 7 a.m. the department responded to 815 calls for service. Of those calls, 189 were motor vehicle stops.

Criminal mischief
A vehicle parked at 17 Horton St. was burglarized between Sept. 7 at 10 p.m. and Sept. 8 at 7:15 a.m. Cash was taken.
A door to an apartment at 23 Horton St. was damaged during an apparent attempted burglary, which occurred between 6:45 a.m. and 3:20 p.m. on Sept. 8.
Two vehicles at 655 Main St. were damaged overnight Sept. 8 – 9.
A portable classroom at Martel School at 880 Lisbon St. had a window broken sometime prior to 7:20 p.m. on Sept. 8.
An apartment at 284 Webber Ave. had a window broken by a BB sometime overnight Sept. 8 – 9.
A vehicle parked at Shaw’s at 27 East Ave. was keyed sometime prior to 5:55 p.m. on Sept. 9.
A vehicle parked at 94 Knox St. had tires slashed overnight Sept. 5 – 6.
A vehicle parked at 169 Oxford St. had a window smashed out of it between 4 and 5:15 p.m. on Sept. 7.
Burglaries
An apartment at 17 Towle St. was burglarized sometime prior to 11 p.m. on Sept. 3. A Playstation 3 and several games were taken.
An apartment at 53 Tall Pines Dr. was burglarized between noon and 2 p.m. on Sept. 5. Entry was gained by forcing a rear entry door. Nothing was taken.
A residence at 90 Webster St. was burglarized sometime prior to 3:30 a.m. on Sept. 5. Force was used to gain entry.
An apartment at 111 Ash St. was burglarized sometime between 3 and 3:30 p.m. on Sept. 7. Entry was gained through a window; cash was taken.
Thefts
A silver Huffy was stolen from the rear yard of 24 Howard St. sometime prior to 7:50 a.m. on Sept. 9.
A Kona mountain bike valued at $750 was stolen from a storage shed at Bates College sometime between June 1 and Sept. 4.
A bicycle was stolen from a garage at 90 Fairlawn Ave. sometime overnight Sept. 2 – 3.
An antique Schwinn bicycle was stolen from 214 Blake St. sometime during the day on Sept. 2.
A Pacific Blue Beach Cruiser bicycle was stolen from 41 Chestnut St. sometime prior to 5 p.m. on Sept. 7.
Motor vehicle burglaries
Two vehicles parked at 10 Rita Ave. were burglarized between 10 p.m. Sept. 8 and 5 a.m. on Sept. 9. A wallet, a Makita grinder, cigarettes, and change were taken.
A vehicle parked at 24 Fortin Way was burglarized overnight Sept. 8 – 9. A wallet was taken.
A vehicle parked at 12 Central Ave. was burglarized between 3 and 4:30 p.m. on Sept. 7; cash was taken.
A vehicle parked at 43 Pleasant St. was burglarized sometime overnight Sept. 6 – 7. A wallet was taken.
A vehicle parked at 254 Blake St. was burglarized sometime on Sept. 6; a pocket holder and various paperwork were taken.
Operating under the influence
Alexander Maier, 19, was charged with habitual motor vehicle offender and operating under the influence on Sept. 3 at 11:02 p.m. at 60 Pine St. following a motor vehicle stop.
Richard Harmon, 43, was charged with operating under the influence, operating without a license and violating conditions of release on Sept. 4 at 10:16 a.m. at Lisbon and Spruce streets following a routine traffic stop.
Gary Sinclair, 45, was charged with operating under the influence on Sept. 4 at 11:38 p.m. at Lincoln and Cedar streets following a routine traffic stop.
Carol Hanscom, 44, was charged with operating under the influence on Sept. 7 at 12:17 a.m. at College and Blake streets following a routine traffic stop.
James Vallee, 42, was charged with operating under the influence on Sept. 6 at 12:24 a.m. at Lisbon and Pine streets following a routine traffic stop.
Operating after suspension
Hariro Ahmed, 21, was charged with operating wthout a license on Sept. 3 at 3:36 p.m. at Chestnut and Canal streets following a motor vehicle accident.
Wanted
Jeremy Poole, 22, is wanted on a warrant charging unpaid fines for burglary.
Ismael Torres, 27, is wanted on a warrant charging unpaid fines for OUI.
Michael Gallo, 24, is wanted on a warrant charging failure to appear for refusing to submit.
