Class to meet

MEXICO — Members of the Stephens High School Class of 1946 will meet at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 15, at the Covered Wagon Restaurant.

Trailblazers club

MEXICO — The Mexico Trailblazers Snowmobile Club will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 15, downstairs at the Mexico Town Hall. All are welcome. The club will meet the first and third Wednesday of each month.

Historical society

RUMFORD — The Rumford Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 15. Scot and Cindy Grassette will host the meeting at their home and business located at 49 Franklin St., formerly the Rumford Methodist Church.

Participants will learn the history and take a tour of the renovated building, which is now serving as a function hall, theater and catering kitchen. All are welcome.

Public supper

RUMFORD — A public supper will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 18, at the Rumford United Methodist Church on Linnell Street. The meal will consist of meatballs, coleslaw, baked beans, casseroles, salads, rolls, beverages and pies. Cost is $6.

Snowmobile club

ROXBURY — The Roxbury Slippery Sliders Snowmobile Club will have the first meeting of the season at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 14, at the home of Sylvia Touchette.

RUMFORD — Members of the Stephens High School Class of 1948 will meet at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 16, at Brian’s Bistro. Call Simonne at 364-3801.

Field Day

RUMFORD — The Elks Lodge will host an Elks Field Day for members and guests on Saturday, Sept. 18. Cost is $15.

Sausage sandwiches will be served from noon to 4 p.m. Barbecue chicken, stuffing, coleslaw and cranberry sauce will be served from 4 to 6:30 p.m. There will be evening music entertainment and a campfire, 50/50, raffles, card games and door prizes.

Weatherization class

MEXICO — A weatherization class will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday, Sept. 21 and 23, at Region 9 Adult Education.

Winter is just around the corner and participants will learn simple techniques to keep their home warm this winter. Lloyd Williams teaches the building trades classes at Region 9 and has years of experience making houses energy efficient in a safe way.
