MEXICO — The following incidents were handled recently by the Mexico Police Department.

Arrest

David Boynton, 48, Porter Bridge Road, on charges of domestic assault, domestic terrorizing and felony criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon, on Sept. 5, following a report that came in at 11:37 p.m. Sept. 4. He was taken to the Oxford County Jail where he was held until he was released on $800 cash bail on Sept. 7. He is scheduled to appear in Oxford County Superior Court on Dec. 17.

Burglaries and thefts

A Middle Avenue resident reported at 10:30 a.m. Sept. 2 that someone during the week of Aug. 29 forcibly entered his home and took an Xbox, two games and controllers valued at $370.

A Parker Street resident reported at 1:54 a.m. Aug. 24 that someone had entered a home that was undergoing a major renovation on the street. Burglars forcibly entered the basement, causing $50 damage, then took a variety of carpentry tools. Some were found strewn around the lot, but some, valued at $2,000, were taken. Police have leads.

Vandalism

An Osgood Avenue resident reported at 4 p.m. Aug. 29 that someone had destroyed the windshield and damaged the right front fender of her sedan parked in her yard, causing $1,400 damage. A neighbor’s sedan also sustained $1,100 damage to the right front headlight and to the body of the vehicle.
