GORHAM — Marches. Southern hymns. Selections from movies. These will all be played Saturday, Sept. 25, at the eighth annual Old-Fashioned Outdoor Band Concert at the University of Southern Maine.
The free concert will take place at 1 p.m. on the lawn at Corthell Hall.
Families are urged to bring lawn chairs or blankets to sit on while they listen to the student band under the direction of master conductor Peter Martin. USM student Joel Graham will guest conduct the “New Colonial March,” by R.B. Hall.
If it rains or the temperatures plummet, the concert and barbecue (starting at noon) will move to the Brooks Dining Center on campus. Signs will lead the way.
