Cemetery association

HARTFORD — The Maple Grove Cemetery Association will meet at 10 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 19, at the Union Schoolhouse on Church Street. All members and interested persons are urged to attend. The new section of the cemetery has been completed and the fence was replaced with help from Boy Scouts and volunteers.

The Hartford Historical and Improvement Society will meet at 11 a.m. following the cemetery meeting. All members and persons interested in visiting the only one-room school left in Hartford are welcome and may bring a bag lunch.

Ellis River Riders

ANDOVER — The Ellis River Riders will host an open show for both English and Western equestrians on Saturday, Sept. 25. The show will begins at 9 a.m. at the Ellis River grounds on Airport Road, off Route 5.

Members and nonmembers can compete. Parking is free and there is bleacher seating that is free to spectators.

Collins office hours

DIXFIELD — U.S. Sen. Susan Collins has announced that a representative from her Lewiston office will hold office hours from 10:30 a.m. to noon Friday, Sept. 24, at the Dixfield Library, 42 Main St.

State Office Representative Carlene Tremblay will be available to provide assistance with federal issues and agencies, such as Social Security, veterans affairs and citizenship and immigration. No appointment is necessary.
