AUBURN — “Lewiston-Auburn Macaroni Kid,” a new and free weekly e-mail newsletter and website that highlights the many things kids and their families can do in the Lewiston-Auburn area, has been started by Auburn writer Colleen Lunn Scholer.

Scholer is the editor and publisher of the home-based business, as well as the mother of three children. She has been a freelance writer for eight years, writing for various women’s and family websites, including www.makinglifebetter.com and www.familycorner.com, as well as writer of the Sun Journal’s monthly cooking column Stirring It Up.

Prior to freelance writing, she was an assistant editor and contributor to Chronicle, the alumni magazine for North Yarmouth Academy, and worked in public affairs for L.L. Bean.
