Cribbage results

LEWISTON — The Lewiston Senior Citizens Cribbage League winners at the Multi-Purpose Center on Sept. 23 were: first, Bert Belanger and Gene Brown; second, Louise Pelletier and John Violette; third, Ron Hynes and Jim MacDonald; fourth, Ed Madden and Steve Agurkis; fifth, Guy Dube, two-player table.

The next game will be played at 9 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 30.

Marine Corps

LEWISTON — The Marine Corps League Central Maine Detachment will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 30, at the Multi-Purpose Center, 145 Birch St.

Plans for fall activities will be discussed. All marines are invited to attend. The league may also plan programs for other marines who return from the war and those attending may bring ideas for programs and events.

Seniors meeting

SABATTUS — The Sabattus Seniors will meet Thursday, Oct. 7, at the Maxwell Hall. The meal will be meat loaf, made by Doris. Bingo will be played after the meeting.

Upcoming trips include: Hollywood Slots, Oct. 12 and Nov. 9, $24; Indian Head Resort, Nov. 28, Christmas show, $55; New York City Rockettes, Dec. 9, at the Wang Theater in Boston, $98.

Girl Scouts

AUBURN — Girl Scouts of Maine will host parent information and registration meetings at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday, Oct. 5 and 7, at Auburn Middle School.

Girls and adults are invited to attend the meeting to find out about the different ways girls are participating in Girl Scouting and about the options and benefits of becoming a volunteer.

Officer installation

SABATTUS — The Jacques Cartier Club will install officers and directors during a ceremony from 6 to 10 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 2, at the facility on Wales Road.
