Wind power forum

RUMFORD — Residents of Rumford and area towns are invited to a Wind Power Forum to be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 29, at Mountain Valley High School.

The discussion will present opportunity for audience questions and will feature participants ready to answer questions about taxes, electricity rates, noise, jobs, health and other issues. The very latest findings from the community of Vinalhaven will be presented.

Jordan reunion

DIXFIELD — The descendants of William and Pearl Wallingford Jordan met on Sept. 18 at the home of Rita Girardin. A potluck buffet lunch was served.

There were 11 Jordan children; today their are two: Phyllis Jordan Macy Briggs and Joyce Dalton Levasseur, and sisters-in-law Florence Jordan, Charlotte Jordan and Anne Jordan.

Guests came from Jay, Wilton, Livermore, Canton, Farmington and Manchester, N.H. It was voted to have the next reunion at the same place next year.

Dance

RUMFORD — The annual AYF dance will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 9, at the Eagles, featuring The Hooligans.
