LISBON — Fall migrants and resident birds will be the center of interest for participants in the field trip sponsored by the Stanton Bird Club on Saturday, Oct. 16. The destination will be Beaver Park.
Participants should note that Beaver Park has a park fee of $1 for Lisbon residents and $3 for nonresidents.
The walk will be led by Stan and Joan DeOrsey, who will identify and comment on birds seen or heard. At this time of year, walkers can expect to see woodland species such as sparrows, chickadees and woodpeckers.
Those interested should meet at 8 a.m. at the parking lot at the Promenade Mall, 855 Lisbon St., in front of Staples or at Beaver Park at approximately 8:20 a.m. The walk will end by 11 a.m., but participants may leave early.
