POLAND — Ian Martell led a group of five players to register goals as Gray-New Gloucester hustled to a 6-0 romp over Poland in a late-season WMC boys’ soccer matchup Thursday.
Martell led the Patriots (7-4) with two goals, while brother Jack added one. Will Bartlett, Craig Moreau and John Zadaro also tallied to complete the scoring.
Brian Cavallaro made 12 saves for Gray-New Gloucester, while Dylan Douglass turned back 10 shots for the Knights (4-7).
Mt. View 3, Oak Hill 2
THORNDIKE — Aaron Elkins converted a pass from Alec Davis just 22 seconds into overtime to lift Mt. View to a 3-2 victory over Oak Hill in a KVAC boys’ soccer tilt.
Zoli Kertesz and James Philbrick also tallied for the Mustangs to complete the scoring.
Jamiel Kidd scored both goals for the Raiders (5-6-1), while Brian Bradstreet and Dalton Burns were credited with assists.Chris Montminy made 12 saves for Mt. View, while Tyler Pelletier deflected 11 shots for Oak Hill.
EL 4, Mt. Ararat 1
TOPSHAM — Edward Little erupted for three goals in the second half and went on to record a 4-1 triumph over Mt. Ararat in a late-season KVAC boys’ soccer tussle Thursday.
Tim Mains led the Red Eddies (4-6) with a pair of goals, while Ian Theriault and Jared Pelletier also tallied. Ben Bowles made six saves to notch the victory.
The Eagles (4-4-2) received their lone goal from Alden Talbot, while Gabe Pelletier turned back five shots in front of the cage.
Monmouth 1, Lisbon 1
LISBON — Kyle Fletcher booted a direct kick into the net with 10 minutes left in regulation to give Monmouth a 1-1 tie against Lisbon in boys’ soccer action Thursday.
The Greyhounds (5-5-1) jumped out to a 1-0 advantage in the first half when Brady Fenderson converted a pass from Mike Degou.
Robby Neal made 11 saves for the Mustangs (5-4-1), while Shane Tanguay turned aside four shots for Lisbon.
