Wiltona Club
WILTON — The Wiltona Club will meet at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 12, at the home of Joyce Orff. Annual book reports will be given and there will be a silent auction. Hostesses for the meeting are Gayle Chase and Orff.
String band
SALEM — The Narrow Gauge String Band will be at the Salem Community Building on Sunday, Oct. 17. A donation box will be at the door and refreshments will be on sale. All are invited to the afternoon of country bluegrass music, hosted by the Salem Pine Tree Club.
Yard sale
FARMINGTON — The Colonial Daughters Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution will hold a yard/garage sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 16, at 499 Fairbanks Road. There will be painted pumpkins, gourds, various baked goods and white elephant items for sale.
Chowder lunch
FARMINGTON — The Fairbanks Union Church will hold a fish chowder luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 15. The luncheon will include chowder, biscuit, pickles, cheese, dessert and coffee or tea.
For local delivery, within five miles of the church, call 778-4705. The donation for the luncheon is $6.
