SUMNER — A Wrinkle in Thyme Farm, 106 Black Mountain Road, will hold a grand opening of its new fiber center, The Tesseract, Oct. 22-24.

The building will provide a learning center for gatherings for wool processing and fiber arts, a dye kitchen and a farm store.

On Oct. 22, invited guests and speakers will address attendees from 2-3 p.m.  and a fiber art showcase from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Entries of fiber items are being sought for this showcase. Entries must be handmade using natural materials, preferably from Maine.

On Oct. 23 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. there will be a local farmers’ market, farm tours, kids’ corner, potluck supper at 5 p.m., and a barn dance at 7 p.m. Admission to the dance is $10.

On Oct. 24, Fiber Community Day will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This will be a gathering for participants to relax, enjoy and create something using their favorite natural fiber.
