Workshop
AUBURN — “Preparing for Journey’s End,” a workshop hosted by the Prince of Peace Parish, will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 23, at St. Dominic Academy, 121 Gracelawn Road. The event is free of charge and no registration is required.
Vendors will be available with information relating to end of life wishes and representatives from funeral homes, hospice, cemeteries, caterers, florists, monument companies, attorneys, financial planners and others will be present. Blood drive
GREENE — A blood drive will be held from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 23, at the Greene Fire Department on Patten Road. All donors and volunteers will be treated to two homemade soups and many desserts, breakfast and dinner pizzas, as well as breakfast pastries.

Bridge play
LEWISTON — The Lewiston-Auburn Social Bridge Club winners at the Multi-Purpose Center on Oct. 18th were as follows: first, Les Buzzell and Luke Merry; second, Henry Lerette and Paul Mitnik; third, Dick Allen and Richard Balian.
Games are played every week at 9 a.m. and a partner is guaranteed. Call Rosemarie Goodwin at 754-1431 for information about all duplicate bridge games.
A card/game fundraiser will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 30, at the YWCA, 130 East Ave. Snacks, beverages, door prizes and a 50/50 raffle will be available. Except for the duplicate bridge players, all participants should bring their own games, cards, supplies and players. Each player’s $10 contribution will benefit the YWCA.
