Basketball tryouts
WILTON — The Wilton Recreation Department will hold tryouts for fifth and sixth grade travel basketball teams on Tuesday and Wednesday, Oct. 26 and 27, in the Academy Hill gym.
Girls tryouts will be from 3 to 4:30 p.m. both days and the boys will go from 4:30 to 6 p.m. A parents meeting will be held at the end of tryouts on the 26th. Signups for the in house second and third grade basketball program will also be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. both days.

Art exhibit
WILTON — Western Maine Community Action will open the “Comfort, Woe and Wonder” art exhibit from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 28. Sixteen artists from Androscoggin, Franklin and Oxford counties will exhibit at WMCA’s administration office, 20 A Church Street, East Wilton.
The exhibit will be on display through January 2011.
Community breakfast
RANGELEY — The next ladies/community breakfast, with everyone invited to attend, will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 3, at the BMC Diner.
