LEWISTON — The Center for Wisdom’s Women, a drop in center, will hold an open house from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 23, in celebration of the center’s second anniversary.

The center was begun by The Daughters of Wisdom as Wisdom’s Center in 1999. When it closed in June of 2008, a group of local friends of the center took up the task of raising funds and reopened that fall on a part time basis.

Light brunch snacks will provided by the Clever Cooks, a youth catering service of St. Mary’s Nutrition Center of Maine. Denise Dill, a local singer and songwriter, will provide two sets of music. Information on the women’s center’s work and programs will be available.
