Benefit dance

RUMFORD — The Rumford Performing Arts Committee will sponsor a dance at 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 13, in the Rumford Falls Auditorium, 145 Congress St. Music will be provided by the Coos Canyon Band. Doors will open at 6 p.m.

There will also be a Chinese auction. Cost is $5 for adults and $3 for children 12 and under. Tickets may be purchased at Bartash, 98 Congress St., or at the door. Proceeds will benefit the Jane Holt Defrees Scholarship Fund.

Chicken pie

RUMFORD — The Rumford United Methodist Church will host a chicken pie supper at 5 p.m. Saturday Oct. 30.

Texas Hold ’em

RUMFORD — The Rumford Area Rotary will hold a Texas Hold ’em tournament at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 21, at 49 Franklin St. Doors will open at 12:30 p.m.

Cost is $50. The house’s 25 percent share will be donated to Rotary International. There will be a meal, 50/50, raffle and cash bar. To register, call 357-8023 or 364-2983.

Snowmobile club
