The Andy Valley Knights of Columbus, Council 8742, were the recipients of several awards recognizing their work over the course of the year. Awards were given at the annual State Convention held at the Samoset Resort in Rockland. The Knights were awarded Outstanding Church Activities for three projects, including bringing the Real Presence Vatican Exhibit to Maine, the Knights Before Christmas toy drive and a yard sale to purchase a motorized wheel chair for a disabled priest. They also received the Right to Life award, Best Yearbook in Class A and the Ron Cote Award for most unique project, also for the exhibit.
