AUBURN — Democratic incumbent Brian Bolduc, 36, of Auburn held on to his state House seat  edging out Republican challenger John Michael, 60, of Auburn.

Based on unofficial results from Auburn, Bolduc was ahead by 226 votes for the District 69 seat.

“The last man standing here,” Bolduc said early Wednesday. He credited the win to an old-fashioned foot campaign and “deep roots” in the neighborhood he grew up in.

“I’m very honored to be re-elected,” Bolduc said. “In this Republican sweep, I was one of the few who survived it.”
