Heywood Club

NORWAY — The Heywood Club will meet at 6 p.m. Monday, Nov. 8, at the clubhouse. It will be a social and creative meeting. Demonstrator Becky Kostovick from Stamping Up will show the group how to make Christmas cards.

She will furnish all the materials and has asked those who participate to donate a fee of $4. Those attending should note the time change of the meeting.

Public supper

HARRISON — The VFW Post 9328 Ladies Auxiliary will host a public supper from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 11, at the Post. In appreciation of their service, all veterans will eat free.

The menu will include, beans, roast chicken, ham, casseroles, salads, pie and beverage. Cost for non-veterans is $7; children 12 and under, $3.50. Immediately following supper, Post Commander Brian Spaulding will lead a traditional ceremony for the retirement of American flags. The public is encouraged to attend and bring old flags.

Veterans Day program

SOUTH PARIS — A Veterans Day program will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 11, at the Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School. The presentation will be provided by the Stone-Smart Post 82 American Legion of Norway.

Coffee and doughnuts will be served following the program. All are invited to attend.

Board meeting

AUBURN — Community Concepts Inc. will hold its board of directors meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 9, at the AVCOG building, 125 Manley Road. Members of the public are welcome to attend. For more information, call 739-6564.
