FARMINGTON — Rebecca Ryder, Franklin Memorial Hospital president, announces that Dr. Lee Ann Baggott joined the FMH medical staff in October.
She is a pulmonologist who will be caring for patients on the last Friday of each month, except November and December. For the next two months, because of holidays, Dr. Baggott will see patients on Nov. 12 and Dec. 10.
Dr. Baggott specializes in outpatient pulmonary medicine, critical care and sleep medicine. She has been practicing at Easy Breathing Clinic in Augusta and Maine General Medical Center for 20 years. She is board-certified in internal medicine.
She completed her medical degree at New York University School of Medicine, followed by a three-year residency in internal medicine at New York University and Bellevue Hospitals, all in New York City. She completed a fellowship in pulmonology and critical care at the University of Pennsylvania. She also holds a master’s degree in health care management and public policy from Harvard School of Public Health.
Her professional interests include diagnosis and management of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, asthma diagnosis and treatment, chronic cough and shortness of breath. She is an advocate for health and public policy and serves on the board of the American Lung Association of Maine.
