LEWISTON — The Kora Shrine will host the fifth annual FEZtival of Trees from Nov. 20 to 27. The historic building located on the corner of Main and Sabattus streets will be decorated with more than 60 Christmas trees.
The trees will be raffled off and one person for each tree will be selected to take home a fully decorated tree in time for Christmas. Each of the trees will have a specific theme. For example, the Maine Lottery tree is decorated with $500 of lottery tickets.
In addition, a whole floor of the building will be dedicated to crafters displaying their holiday wares as well as a silent auction. General admission is $2 and children under 12 are free. Concessions will also be available.
Santa will also be there every day taking requests from all the children that wish to visit him.
The schedule for the event is as follows:
Saturday, Nov. 20, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Slugger the Seadog from the Portland Seadogs will make an appearance at noon.
Sunday, Nov. 21, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Monday, Nov. 22, 4 to 8 p.m. Crusher the Red Claw from the Portland Red Claws will make an appearance at 5 p.m.
Tuesday, Nov. 23, 5 to 7 p.m. Chamber of Commerce Night, closed to the public.
Wednesday and Thursday, Nov. 24 and 25, closed.
Friday, Nov. 26, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Saturday, Nov. 27, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Awards will be presented at 6 p.m and Lewy the Maineiac from the MAINEiacs will make an appearance at 11 a.m.
