Holiday tree

CANTON — Ponemah Rebekah Lodge 28 will sponsor the 14th annual Memorial Holiday Tree, which will be lit from Nov. 26 through Dec. 31.

All are welcome to light a bulb on the tree in memory of a loved one. Cost is $2 each bulb, each name. Memorial lists will be printed after Jan. 1, 2011. To order bulbs, call Jolene at 597-2168.

Girl Scouts

PERU — Girl Scouts of Maine will host a parent information and registration meeting at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 29, at Dirigo Elementary School.

Girls and adults from the Dixfield, Canton, Peru and surrounding areas are invited to attend the meeting to find out about the different ways girls are participating in Girl Scouting.
