PORTLAND, Maine (AP) — A Maine podiatrist is being held after federal agents raided his Portland office and seized records in connection with a drug investigation.

The Portland Press Herald says 49-year-old Dr. John Perry was arrested in Cumberland on Wednesday and charged with violating bail conditions and possession of cocaine. He is being held without bail at the Cumberland County Jail.

The newspaper says Perry was arrested as part of a joint investigation between the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration and the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency. Agents also searched Perry’s home and his car.

Agents found a gram of cocaine on Perry at the time of his arrest, according to a press release from the Maine Department of Public Safety.
