What promises to be one of the best dancing parties of the season will be given by the Conductors and Motormen of the Lewiston, Augusta and Waterville Relief Association on Tuesday evening Nov. 29 at the “Mystic” in Lewiston. The committee in charge are earnestly endeavoring to make the event one to be pleasantly remembered. It will undoubtedly be a grand success. There will be moving pictures and dancing from 7 to 12.
50 years ago, 1960
The Androscoggin Sheriff’s Department yesterday investigated a house break at Lisbon Falls.
Deputy Chief Leonard A. Gagne said the house break was at a residence on Vining St. Taken were half a gallon of ice cream, two dishes and two spoons, a flashlight, wrist watch, jewelry, cigarets, lighter fluid, five used pipes, two pints of liquor and 11 books of S & H green stamps.

PORTLAND — Hockey is back as an officially sponsored varsity sport at the University of Southern Maine after a six-year hiatus. Former Maine Mariner star Gordie Clark sends his team into competition beginning Monday of next week.
Eight Huskies squad members are from Lewiston-Auburn, numbering Bob Parker from Edward Little, Pete Gosselin, St. Dom’s, and Tim Houle, Dan Hawaniec, Dan Brochu, Mark Laliberte and Rich Lacombe of LHS, Steve Rousseau played for both LHS and the Doms in his undergrad career.
