Open mic night

NORWAY — An open mic night will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 26, at the First Universalist Church, 479 Main St. Sign-up will start at 6:30 p.m.

Cost is $3 at the door. Those attending are asked to bring nonperishable food donations to benefit the Oxford Hills Food Pantry. For more information, call 743-2828.

Adoption celebration

SOUTH PARIS — In honor of National Adoption Month, a celebration of adoption will take place from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 29, at the Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School. Several community organizations are partnering to host the event.

Food, games, crafts, prizes, information booths and short presentations will be provided in a child-friendly atmosphere, culminating in at least one adoption formalized by the Oxford County Probate Court. Representatives from the Maine Department of Health and Human Services will be available to answer questions.

Legion dance

NORWAY — The American Legion Post 82 will have a karaoke dance from 7 to 11 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 27. Professional DJ’s The Old Crows will provide the music. The cost is $6.
