NORWAY — The hours of worship and fellowship time at the Second Congregational Church, United Church of Christ, 205 Main St., will change on Sunday, Sept. 69. Worship will begin at 10 a.m. and coffee/fellowship time will be held at 11 a.m. The congregation welcomes all.

The Rev. Leslie B. Foley will conduct the worship service, deliver the sermon and serve communion on Sunday, Sept. 6. Communion is open to all who wish to participate.

As is the tradition, on the first Sunday of each month the church will collect food for the Oxford Hills Food Pantry. Those wishing may bring a nonperishable item to the worship service. In September, the church will also collect fresh local produce such as green beans, potatoes, squash and cucumbers.

Choir rehearsals will resume under the direction of Shirli Allen-Heald at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 9. Everyone is invited to sing in the choir. The first worship service for the choir will be on Sunday, Sept. 13, with an additional 9 a.m. rehearsal.

Sunday School will resume for the school year on Sunday, Sept. 13. Children and youth, ages 3 through 18, along with the parents/caregivers, are encouraged to register at 9 a.m., attend a pancake breakfast and begin classes at 10 a.m.

The church holds an annual yard sale, Halloween party, haunted house, Christmastide Concert and Norway Easter Fest.

Nursery care is available during worship for infants and toddlers and the church is handicapped accessible.
