NORWAY — Stephens Memorial Hospital kicked off the holiday season on Dec. 1 with the annual lighting of the Christmas tree. Al crowd attended the festivities and lighting outside before retiring inside for hot cocoa and refreshments.

Gene Benner, board of trustees president, and Andrea Burns, Stephens Community Healthcare Foundation Community Relations and Development Committee chairwoman, welcomed the group.

Jennifer St. Pierre serenaded the crowd with several seasonal songs, and following the lighting of the tree, led in the traditional singing of “Silent Night.”

Western Maine Health President and CEO Timothy Churchill closed the program with best wishes to everyone for a happy, healthy holiday season.
