FARMINGTON — Toto, an 8-year-old terrier mix, is up for adoption at the Franklin County Animal Shelter.

Staff said he walks well on lead and knows how to sit. Toto does well with some other dogs but would like to meet any pals before he decides if they can be friends.

Toto would best be suited in a calmer environment where he can lounge on a nice warm bed, staff said. He is not tolerant of young children but does well with cats. Even though he is a small dog he has a big personality, said staff.

New dogs at the shelter include a bull terrier mix from Wilton, a shepherd mix from Strong and a female shepherd mix.
