LEWISTON — The Patrick c for Cancer Hope and Healing at Central Maine Medical Center is offering a free Lunch and Learn workshop for cancer caregivers.

“When Your Loved One is Hospitalized: Helpful Skills to be an Effective Advocate” will take place from noon to 1:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 3, at CMMC, 12 High St., in conference room D.

Presenter Karen McKenney, LSW, will discuss navigating the hospital setting, including talking to doctors and medical staff, asking questions and managing expectations. McKenney received her bachelor’s degree in rehabilitation through the University of Maine-Farmington and is part of CMMC’s Palliative Care Team.
