SOUTH PARIS — The Oxford Hills Chamber of Commerce announces winners of its 2010 business and community awards.
Business of the Year goes to Hannaford Bros., which was nominated for the significant support to local schools, businesses and community service organizations over the years.
Employee of the Year: Everett Parlin, nominated by Gene Benner. Benner credits Everett for the successful growth of the Bessey Motor Sales service department, and for maintaining its 5-star ranking for more than 25 years.
Citizen of the Year: Sawin Millett, longtime legislator, is being awarded for his selfless service to the Oxford Hills community and the state of Maine for 40 years. He plans to continue his service to the community and the state as the new commissioner of the Department of Administration and Financial Services.
Rising Star: Peter Bolduc, nominated for being a true entrepreneur who generates jobs and provides an attraction for people to come to the Mechanic Falls area.
