Navy Cmdr. Wade R. Robertson, son of Penny and Richard Robertson of Monmouth, recently assumed command of Fleet Logistics Support Squadron VR-52, the “Taskmasters, ” Joint Reserve Base Willow Grove, Pa.

Robertson has served at various commands, including USS John F. Kennedy (CV-67), Mayport Fla., USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71), Norfolk, Va., Training Squadron VT-10, Naval Air Station Pensacola, Fla., and Fleet Logistics Support Squadron VR-46, Naval Air Station Atlanta Ga.

Robertson has personally logged more than 4, 500 military flight hours and led VR-52 to a record-breaking 6, 665 flight hours in 2004. His awards include the Navy/Marine Corps Commendation Medal, Navy/Marine Corps Achievement Medal and various unit and campaign awards.
