Fellowship service

LEWISTON — The Full Gospel Fellowship will meet at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 22, at Governor’s Restaurant, 1115 Lisbon St. Nancy Valiente, a fellowship members, will minister in song.

The group is a nondenominational fellowship and all are invited.

A full breakfast will be served with a cost of $10 a person; free for those under 18. For reservations, call Bertha Chasse-Jacqmin at 753-0314.

Marijuana seminar

AUBURN — Remedy Compassion Center, one of eight nonprofit medical cannabis dispensaries certified by the Department of Health and Human Services, will host a free seminar, “All About Medical Marijuana,” from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 22, at the Auburn Public Library’s Community Room, 49 Spring St.

Dr. Dustin Sulak, DO, will present information about how marijuana affects the body, smoke-free alternatives, optimal dosage and the various strains used to treat different ailments. Sulak is an osteopathic physician with a practice in Hallowell.

Representatives from Remedy Compassion Center will explain the state registration process and what patients can expect to find at the Auburn dispensary that will open this spring. There will be time for questions and answers.

Bridge winners

LEWISTON — The Lewiston-Auburn Bridge Club winners at the Multi-Purpose Center on Jan. 18 were as follows: first, Jeanine Kivus and Claire Lyons; second, Patricia Garcia and David Lock; third, Alberta Turner and Luke Merry fourth, Cynthia and Bill Clifford.

No game was played at Schooner Estates on Wednesday due to the ice and snow.

Games are played at 9 a.m. Monday and Tuesday and 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. A partner is guaranteed. Call Rosemarie Goodwin at 754-1431 for information about all duplicate bridge games in the area.
