A wind sprang up last night, making the cold seem more intense, and the weather bureau has predicted extremely cold weather and winds for today, with no relief in sight.

Lewiston’s Wallace School is 100 years old this year and to celebrate that fact, the staff and Principal Linda Hood are planning a special celebration week. Former administrators, teachers and students of the Main Street school are invited to attend a centennial celebration May 5-9. Each day will be loaded with events ranging from a historical presentation and filmstrip to a class run like the “old days.” Anybody affiliated with the school is asked to contact the office if they can participate.
